Scouting
about on the River
|
 |
|
|
A
dozen Explorer Scouts from Beeston, Chilwell and Stapleford spent a
weekend in July 2004 trying out water activities on the river Trent.
Canoeing, sailing and rowing were on the programme for the event, which
took place in Attenborough Nature Reserve.

Even
though it was the first time afloat for some of the Explorers, they took
to the water with enthusiasm. Three of the newest Scouts – Zoe, Dan
and Becka - were even invested in their canoes!

|
A
barbeque and a traditional scout campfire - not to mention some silly
games - followed the water activities, and the weekend finished with a
volleyball tournament. |
